VISUAL PHASE: Transparent dark brown in colour. Good froth quality. Slightly unclear, with dark reddish background with garnet hues. Consistent brownish-white froth layer. Large bubbles on the top inviting us to drink.
SMELLING PHASE: Clean pronounced earthy-rustic aroma, with nuances of dark chocolate, tobacco and notes of toasted wood. Strong aroma of wet grass. Intense and ripe acorn aroma. Fresh aroma in the nose with a subtle touch of yeast.
TASTING PHASE: The first impression is a mild and malty flavour with a long and satisfactory toasted malt aftertaste. Its appearance and aromatic profile make this beer be drunk easily with a refreshing finish. Hints of oranges, the froth consistency prevents the beer from fast heating; sweet flavours of walnuts and acorns, round in the mouth. Alcohol is well integrated, therefore it is a beer with correct acidity and nice flavour. Flavour: Sweet relation of flavours with a bitter finish. Medium, intense and robust body the same as in the nose. Salty start, cuts sweet; becomes dark chocolate in the medium palate; acidity makes this beer be fresh and vibrant. Finish: dry and harmonious finish with hints of hop until the end.
PAIRING: Legumes, we recommend lentil stew with beef, beans and stew. Roasted beef and game meats. Dried fruits, almonds and walnuts go well. Stews with boiled potatoes and octopus, skid or cuttlefish. Cerex Ibérica de Bellota (acorn) reduction is recommended for being used in roasted meat dishes, meat stews or preparations with cuttlefish or skid.
